Over the last year especially, I've been coming to realize how wrong I've been about who I am, what I know and how I am. It's been a tough road and not one I would want to embark on more than once. It's a real journey full of ups and downs, but it's worth it. Just so happened that around the time I became aware of how little I've cared about/for myself, I started talking with Krista Shirley and her husband Thom. I bought the book after sitting on the idea for a couple of weeks.

I'm not really a big fan of spiritual encouragement books. The ones I've read, largely, leave a lot to be desired. This one seemed to hit the mark on more than one topic. It was refreshing to see that I wasn't alone in what I've been experiencing -- the loneliness, the solitude, the pruning and development.

In a way, I wish the book would have gone into more depth on some subjects, though I did enjoy the exercises. In fact, I'd say I took to journaling through some of my own stuff rather naturally, though it is tough for me to be clear and honest with God like that.

I Found Me was provoking and helpful. It's a quick read and will gently challenge your beliefs. It's not filled with academic language and most concepts are easy enough to follow. I hope that the prayers and journaling I did as a result of reading it will bring great help and healing. I appreciate having been told about this book.

KNOWING YOUR TRUE SELF IS PRICELESS
Every single female struggles with identity. Finding truth can be difficult, but this book makes is doable. Knowing that God has amazing plans for you and that you are destined to greatness is a real eye-opener. I've been married to the author for nearly 20 years. She's learned and lived these concepts in my presence and has been almost solely responsible for pulling our family out of the pit we had lived in our whole lives. Krista allowed God to show her a better way, and it has made all the difference for all of us. These truths will make a difference in the life of anyone willing to take another look. I could pull out many paragraphs that hit home for me, yet as a person with a given heart and as a mother this is a place I can identify with.

Krista Shirley has found the real her and is on a continuous journey, experiencing all it entails. She wants you to experience the you that you were purposed, destined to be so you can shine bright and influence others.
Reading Krista's book I identified with so much she had to go through to find the truth. Truth about God, life and herself. So much of who we think we are comes from our daily surroundings our family and the people who we look to for guidance. I enjoyed her honesty in coming forward about her experiences. She is truly has been gifted with an overcoming spirit. She's was on point about negativity from others and how it affects our hearts mind and physical condition so much from how we are treated, to what we eat and drink. It all plays a huge part of how we deal with life. God Bless her for standing up for what she believed in. The Lords path for her is evident through the pages. So much information I didn't even realize was happening in my own life and way of thinking. Great read.
A necessary book in the Body of Christ. The desires of your heart, your personality, and the way God speaks to you are all unique. This book reminds you of who you are supposed to be. It's not a formulaic approach to Christianity, but a strategy to begin to see all that you truly are. Over the last few weeks I have been realizing that part of who I was was because of past experiences and the words other people had said that I had let linger. God's really been helping me put away the fake me, and helping me become the real me fearless, intelligent, loving, strong in body and spirit, and most of all a warrior. I'm enjoying this journey with God, and this book, as well as the writer, will help so many people come out of the cage. Religion has taught us to be robots, but God made us to be insanely free.
