She touched my soul with "Memory of Cancer" which reminds me of my own grandmother. Or "Mine Eyes Have Seen The Glory" which speaks to socioeconomic progress while struggling to stay grounded. The retrospective "She Ain't Me" which is a subtle reminder that we f'd up & the grass ain't greener on the other side. You want sultry? This book is awesome to me because the writing was beautiful, and the fact that my eighteen year old son was eager to read it! Purchasing this work of art is a treasure to any lover of words. I am now a conscious lover of the beauty in this authors words.

This is a work that is full of passion, that passion that one can feel the intensity of while taking in and digesting the wisdom of every word. I purchased one for my wife and daughter. The glossy paperback hugging the expressions within like a newborn with the potential to grow. Here I am holding on, vowing to be the only love of it's life. Married to 'Beautiful Conscious Love' for the first time...
This book quite frankly puts normalcy and repetitiveness in the fire and makes us analyze what died. You never miss it till the well runs dry. What many saw as worthless consciously never thought how it felt to their subconscious in dreams. Awakened through the words of this woman comes a feeling of self reflection. We all use the same words to speak more or less but it is the execution and precision of those words placed into our moments of self awareness that makes even a simple word like Love mean so many things.
Reality is reality but hers is so plainly laid on paper that at first glance blood and sweat are simply metaphors until you read how the language places you in a scene beyond yourself holding her book. 'Look at me' places you in a scene where she transplants memories like a film to watch mentally as you roll the words off your tongue. You attempt to connect to the piece of soul that lays bare before your ready eyes. Sometimes what I get to see I am not ready for or to, read.
"And when it happened, it knocked me to my knees like I was the one who had it"
I can't help but know what she means and I can't help but to continue to read and flip pages, looking for that feeling again. The feeling where I know that feeling.
The book isn't the epitome of how things should be written or organized though made through a machine, it's human like you and me. Just like the author can be as much as she can be. It's relatable, debatable and unforgettable no matter how unable you are to see its fulfilled potential. Imperfectly perfect, a woman's emotion in my grasp steady changing the mood like rent that's past due. What can more can I say I am amazed.
What puts me in a state of suspended animation is the fact for as good as I find the book, the author's live performance is better than my own inner voice reading her words. Which makes sense as who can speak their song of life but the one who lives it.
Beautiful Conscious Love is well worth the purchase. I'ma sucker for words with meaning behind them and if one can take words and extract emotion from them the way they are placed then the book is already beautiful from the second page.
